Where to Splurge on Coffee & Cocktails

By Anita Draycott

Head to the Piazza San Marco, which Napoleon described as the drawing room of Europe and order exorbitantly priced coffee with zabione liqueur and whipped cream served on a silver tray to the accompaniment of a string quartet at Café Florian. I think Harry’s Bar is a bit overrated but it was Ernest Hemingway’s favourite watering hole and the Bellini cocktail was invented here sometime in the 1930s.
