Frolic with the Elephants in Sri Lanka

A tiny island nation in south Asia, Sri Lanka will charm you with its fantastic beaches, natural wonders, century old ruins, and majestic temples. It is also known for Ceylon tea, wildlife, festivals, thrilling adventures, and a place where you can have fun with elephants!

One of the places you must visit is Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for being Asia’s best preserved city of the first millennium. A massive column of rock with a flattened summit is where King Kasyapa built his palace centuries ago. If you love water activities you must take a trip to one of its fantastic beaches including, Bentota, Unawatuna, Negombo, Ahangama, and Nilaveli. If tea is your thing, you must check out the Mackwoods Labookellie Tea Centre where you get to tour the factory, have some tea and cake, and buy various types of tea to bring back home. The Elephant Freedom Project is where you can spend days frolicking with an elephant. You can learn more about elephants, take an elephant for a walk, and even  take a bath with an elephant!
