Day 1 Your journey begins

Board your overnight flight to Europe (not included). 

Day 2 Welcome to Zagreb Transfers to your hotel depart from Zagreb Airport at 11:30 & 14:00. Relax and settle in or perhaps head for the romantic Chestnut-lined Stross Promenade for your first views over the city. Later, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception and an opportunity to get to know each other over a pleasant evening of dinner and wine. Hotel: Sheraton, Zagreb Welcome Reception and Dinner 

Day 3 Zagreb’s Twin Towns After a restful night's sleep, join a local expert for sightseeing of the two-tiered capital of Croatia. Drive through the squares of the Lower Town to the cathedral. Then walk through the medieval Upper Town to see the Stone Gate, the colourful Church of St. Mark and Lotrščak Tower. The afternoon is at leisure. The Ilica is the hub of Zagreb's shopping scene or perhaps take a trip to the Zarorje region to learn about the local traditions and visit the house of Marshall Tito? Day 4 Head to the Postojna Caves and on to Belle-Epoque Opatija Detour into Slovenia this morning to visit the world-famous caves of Postojna. Aboard the cave train, descend into a subterranean world of stunning stalactites, stalagmites, columns and curtains. Be bedazzled by the five metre tall ‘Brilliant' and come face-to-face with the eyeless, dragon-like human fish. Back in Croatia, your hotel is in the Belle-Époque seaside resort of Opatija, nestled at the foot of Mount Učka. Day 5 Discover the Jewels of Istria In the morning, cross the heart-shaped peninsula to explore the jewels of Istria with a local expert! Visit the charming old town of Rovinj, rising directly from the sea. Wander through the cobbled streets lined with tempting shops, pastel coloured bars and cafés. Today's final highlight is a visit to the well preserved first-century arena at Pula, scene of brutal gladiatorial battles in Roman times. Hotel: Bristol, Opatija Buffet Breakfast 

Day 6 On to Pristine Plitvice National Park Enjoy the scenery of the Adriatic coast this morning - sparkling deep blue seas, studded with rocky islands, before heading inland to visit one of Europe's great natural wonders. Zig-zagging timber footbridges lead you through the crystal blue-green beauty of Plitvice National Park; a scenic wonderland of 16 interconnecting lakes flanked by waterfalls and primeval forest. Visit Korana Canyon to see the 230 foot high falls and Tomicevo Pogledalo for spectacular panoramic views. Hotel: Jezero, Plitvice Buffet Breakfast,Dinner 

Day 7 Along the Dalmatian Coast to Split The green forests give way to pebble-dashed shores lapped by turquoise waters today. Travel through charming fishing villages and sun-drenched resorts to Trogir, founded by the Greeks in 400BC. Admire the cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko Palace before continuing to the historic port of Split. 1700 years ago, the Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace here and today it forms the nucleus of the old town. A local expert leads you through the labyrinthine streets and arcaded squares to see St. Duje's, (originally Diocletian's Mausoleum), the Temple of Jupiter (today, a baptistery) and the Golden Gate. Venture underground into the rooms thought to have housed his slaves. This evening, don't miss the opportunity of dinner in a traditional ‘konoba'. Hotel: President Solin, Split Buffet Breakfast 

Day 8 Island Hopping to Brač Your island-hopping adventure begins today! Cross the azure waters of the Adriatic to spend two nights on Brač - the island is famous for its marble, olive oil and wine. Hotel: Bluesun Hotel Elaphusa, Brač Buffet Breakfast,Dinner 

Day 9 Exploring the Island of Brač While here, you have plenty of time to enjoy the secluded beaches, old monasteries, tiny fish restaurants and lofty peaks from where there are magnificent views over the island and bejeweled seas. The pristine white marble from this area has been used throughout history, from Diocletian's Palace to the White House. Enjoy a fascinating visit to the *Klesarska Skola (Stonemasons' School) in Pucisca for a unique stone-cutting class and to learn masonry techniques first hand from a master stonemason. *Guided visit is not available during local school holidays. Day 10 On the Trail of Marco Polo to Korcula From one slice of sea-washed heaven to another, continue to Korcula, an island of exceptional grace, history and culture. Explore Korcula Town with its ramparts and well known legends. Your walking tour with a local expert takes you to the Cathedral, the town museum and the Bishop's Palace. The locals also claim Marco Polo was born here and you see his ruined house next. Hotel: Marko Polo, Korcula Buffet Breakfast,Dinner 

Day 11 Free time in Korcula Today is at leisure to enjoy the narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnificent palaces of this charming medieval town. Look out for the spirited 15th century Moreska sword dance, which was once performed all over the Mediterranean but is now only found in Korcula. Hotel: Marko Polo, Korcula Buffet Breakfast 

Day 12 To Dubrovnik, Pearl of the Adriatic Cross over to the beautiful southern slopes of the Peljesac Peninsula. Stop amid the age-old vines to see how wine is produced and enjoy a taste. Continue to the walled town of Dubrovnik - ‘paradise on earth' according to George Bernard Shaw! During your exceptional three night stay, join a local expert to explore the stone paved streets inside the 16th century bastions of the old town. See Onofrio's Fountain and the Rector's Palace, as well as the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries. As the sun sets, maybe take a relaxing cruise on the harbour? Day 13 Optional Montenegro Experience This morning, there is an optional visit to Montenegro. Start with Kotor, situated on the only fjord on the Adriatic coast. Capture forever on film one of the most beautiful parts of the bay, and learn some of the compelling history of this area. Then to the picturesque town of Budva where there is free time for lunch. Return to Dubrovnik for an evening at leisure. Hotel: Dubrovnik Palace, Dubrovnik Buffet Breakfast 

Day 14 Dubrovnik at Leisure A day at leisure in this ‘pearl of the Adriatic'. Relax by the pool, shop in the markets or stroll with friends along the ancient city walls. At this evening's Celebration Dinner, loosened in spirit and bonded by magical miles, there's a hubbub of clinking glasses, laughter and conversation.
