Ever since I can remember, I have been intrigued with what was “out there.” I’ve fulfilled that curiosity by travelling to some truly awe inspiring places.
From sitting in the middle of an elephant herd on safari in South Africa, to a beautiful beach in Barbados, to cruising scenic Alaska, and climbing the Great Wall of China, my travel experiences help me to serve you better. Even the problems I’ve had, such as having everything stolen, flights cancelled, missed connections, or luggage not arriving gives me added experience to help my clients.
I started Anita Get Away travel consultants to help others create their own vacation memories. I specialize in group tours or cruises, as well as health and wellness destinations. I’ve learned that the small details often make the biggest difference in a vacation and that’s where my research skills and experience come in.
I know the right questions to ask and the most important details to cover in order to make your trip a complete success.
While I have many favorite spots in countries from China to the Philippines to Europe, I often don’t stay in the same place twice because there are so many new experiences out there that I can share with my clients.
My goal is to create a travel experience that is “as unique as you” and I will listen carefully to what you want and provide you options that reflect this.
As your travel consultant, my passion, my personal experiences, and my attention to detail will put you at ease and you can begin your trip more relaxed. All you need to do is enjoy your trip and create some wonderful memories for you and your friends and family!
We are always so impressed with your service and the care and knowledge you show us. We are truly fortunate to have you for our travel agent. Thank you for absolutely everything you have done for us.
Anita was an excellent agent we always felt informed with every inquiry. She made planning fun and easy and gave my husband positive information since he was not to keen to cruise now he is looking forward to more cruises.
Anita found us a great rate on a cruise to Alaska and did everything possible to ensure we got our reservations in quickly and accurately. During the cruise, which she was also on, she checked in with us regularly to ensure we were having a great time and to see if we had any questions or concerns. Afterwards, when there...
Anita is very knowledgeable, a true professional and her customer service is truly above what we expected.
Anita, your above and beyond service is greatly appreciated and refreshingly unique in today’s world. I rest easy on every trip I book with you knowing that everything is taken care of before I leave and you really are only a phone call away if anything pops up. Lloyd
Day 10 – Miltenberg A visit to the Main Village is like stepping back in time which could come straight out of a Grimm Brothers’ tale. A walking tour of the village or a hiking tour through the hills to the village was included. Our stay was short as we needed to be on board by 12:30 to make our...
Day 6 – RegensburgA city more than 2000 years old and the whole of the Old City is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What was great about this port is that no busses where required to reach the old city. You could just walk on and off the boat at your leisure. After a wonderful guided tour (included but still optional),...
Changes to the schedule! That was the next couple of days held, and this is a great example on how every river cruise company is NOT the same and very important to pick the right one! Thankfully we are on Avalon Waterways. I think this is important to explain as one of the biggest complaints of passengers. The water levels in...
Day 2 – Bratislava, SlovakiaBudapest looked beautiful as we left port and we woke up the next morning to our first lock (one of many, but this is the largest). Our port of call for the day was Bratislava – Slovakia. This cruise included a city walking tour of this historical city. Bratislava has been independent from Czechoslovakia since 1989 and...
Have you seen commercials or ads inviting you to explore some part of the world on a river cruise and thought to yourself, what is it "really" like? Or maybe you have 1 or more big ship experiences and wondered what the differences are. Well, I'm in both of these categories so I set out to find out and along...
